  14.  Beyond admitting to fraud in a 2004 CDC study that exonerated the MMR vaccine,
  15. Dr. William Thompson, a CDC scientist, asserts there is a connection between
  16. mercury (thimerosal) in vaccines and autism.

  29. major media outlets�and now a researcher on the inside has repudiated it.

  58. and four startling Conclusions, that came out of Brian Hooker�s speech.

  61. has written a letter, and posted it on his lawyer�s website, VERIFYING Brian Hooker�s
  62. complaints.  The Big Pharma �spin� machine is operating at full power � but their
  63. efforts to contain the whole story are laughable.  The story is growing, appropriately,
  64. as it should, for there is no denying that the CDC got caught with their pants down,

  80.  What you will find, in Hooker�s speech, are DETAILS of how bad the CDC covered
  81. things up, and, more, how much detail the whistleblower shared with Brian Hooker.
  82. Thompson, as you will find in the video, provided Hooker with private CDC data:

  84. (1)  his own hand-written notes (and you can see the actual handwriting),
  85.  
  86. (2)  the, before this, SECRET inside CDC Study Reviewers� written comments (and
  87. they are right there on the screen) � VERY revealing in terms that the �reviewers�
  88. of the original CDC studies were VERY CLEAR in their condemnation of those papers.
  89. And that, despite the CDC�s own reviewer�s condemnation, the CDC presented them
  90. as factual representations of findings.

  99. speech, is that you scroll, first, to the end of the Part (2) video here at 52:49
  100. starting where Brian says �So, anyhow��, and run it to the end, listening carefully
  101. to Brian�s Conclusions, first.  I will list the written points here, just below,
  102. but I want you to hear him and see him say it.

  106.  The CDC cannot be relied upon to conduct ANY vaccine safety studies. They are a
  107. conflicted agency.  Vaccine safety does not belong in the CDC. Vaccine Surveillance
  108. is fine, but not Safety.  The same agency that is responsible for pushing vaccine
  109. updates, and is, literally, buying,  four billion dollars worth, per year, of
  110. vaccines, has no business looking at Vaccine Safety � that is a complete conflict
  111. of interest.  The CDC should not be looking at Vaccine Safety at all. They are a
  112. conflicted agency, and it should be taken out of their hands, if not out of the
  113. hands of the DHHS.

  115.  Although the CDC has �studied� thimerosal and MMR vaccine, they have neglected the
  116. health effects associated with the rest of the infant schedule.  This is the hall
  117. of fame (hall of shame?) � they have received the lifetime achievement award for
  118. dubious statistics.  They have neglected to look at the health effects of the
  119. entire vaccine schedule.  The entire vaccine schedule is NOT based on the health
  120. of the child.  It is based on a bloated vaccination schedule which is out of control.

  122. Everything is on the table.  The entire vaccination schedule is on the table.

  124.  And the time is right to take action - contact your own Congressman, and make sure
  125. they are in contact with Congressman Darrel Issa, Chairman of the Oversight and
  126. Governmnent Reform Committee who can begin an investigation of malfeasance. We
  127. need an investigation into what is going on in Vaccine Safety � so that we can
  128. (1)  know what happened to our kids, and (2) prevent further damage of future
  129. generations.

  132. do we do about that?  and (2)  How do we fix the children and the families? In one

  197.  My name is William Thompson. I am a Senior Scientist with the Centers for Disease
  198. Control and Prevention, where I have worked since 1998.
  199.  
  200.  I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in
  201. our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested
  202. that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were
  203. at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report
  204. after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not
  205. followed.

  207.  I want to be absolutely clear that I believe vaccines have saved and continue to
  208. save countless lives. I would never suggest that any parent avoid vaccinating children
  209. of any race. Vaccines prevent serious diseases, and the risks associated with their
  210. administration are vastly outweighed by their individual and societal benefits.

  212.  My concern has been the decision to omit relevant findings in a particular study for
  213. a particular sub� group for a particular vaccine. There have always been recognized
  214. risks for vaccination and I believe it is the responsibility of the CDC to properly
  215. convey the risks associated with receipt of those vaccines.

  217.  I have had many discussions with Dr. Brian Hooker over the last 10 months regarding
  218. studies the CDC has carried out regarding vaccines and neurodevelopmental outcomes
  219. including autism spectrum disorders. I share his belief that CDC decision-making and
  220. analyses should be transparent. I was not, however, aware that he was recording any
  221. of our conversations, nor was I given any choice regarding whether my name would be
  222. made public or my voice would be put on the Internet.

  224.  I am grateful for the many supportive e-mails that I have received over the last
  225. several days.

  227.  I will not be answering further questions at this time. I am providing information
  228. to Congressman William Posey, and of course will continue to cooperate with Congress.
  229. I have also offered to assist with reanalysis of the study data or development of
  230. further studies. For the time being, however, I am focused on my job and my family.

  232.  Reasonable scientists can and do differ in their interpretation of information. I
  233. will do everything I can to assist any unbiased and objective scientists inside or
  234. outside the CDC to analyze data collected by the CDC or other public organizations
  235. for the purpose of understanding whether vaccines are associated with an increased
  236. risk of autism. There are still more questions than answers, and I appreciate that
  237. so many families are looking for answers from the scientific community.
