  5.  OKLAHOMA CITY, Mar. 4, 2014 A bill that would nullify Agenda 21
  6. in Oklahoma passed through the state house today.
  7.
  8.  HB2807, the Oklahoma Community Protection Act, would prohibit
  9. any state agency or political subdivision from adopting or
  10. implementing policy recommendations that deliberately or
  11. inadvertently infringe upon or restrict private property rights
  12. without due process. It also would void any previous commitments
  13. which may have been made under Agenda 21 or a similar program.
  14. It reads, any debt or commitment to an international or federal
  15. entity whereby the citizens did not have the ability to exercise
  16. their constitutional rights shall be considered null and void.
  17.
  18. The bill passed by a vote of 66-26.
  19.
  20.  This bill protects your private property from being acquired
  21. by eminent domain from without a public vote or public hearing,
  22. said bill sponsor, Rep. Lewis Moore.
  23.
  24.  The United Nations passed Agenda 21 in 1992 at its Conference
  25. on Environmental and Development. The global initiative encompasses
  26. a wide range of programs meant to promote sustainability. It
  27. works its way into the U.S. system through a back door strategy,
  28. targeting local governments. Objections to Agenda 21 include
  29. violations of personal property rights, the erosion of state
  30. and local authority, and binding of the United States to
  31. international agreements contrary to the US Constitution.
  32.
  33.  HB2805 now moves to the state senate, where it will first
  34. need to be passed by a committee before the full senate has
  35. an opportunity to concur.
